King's College Taunton Celebrates Two Years of Headmaster's Awards
King's College Taunton proudly commemorates two years of outstanding achievements with the Headmaster's Awards, an initiative that has become a cornerstone in recognising and honouring exceptional dedication, talent, and contributions within our school community.
Recognising Excellence Across the Board
Since its inception, the Headmaster's Awards have celebrated a diverse range of accomplishments across academic excellence, sportsmanship, arts, community service, and leadership. Students who have received these prestigious awards exemplify the values of King's College Taunton and serve as role models to their peers. This years headmaster awards are detailed below.
Bishop Fox
Award Recipient: Hugo (Third Form)
Hugo has actively participated in various school and house activities, showcasing his dedication. Notably, he undertook his French GCSE two years early, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence.
Carpenter
Award Recipient: Rosie (Third Form)
Rosie displayed exceptional care for our Doha visitors and made King's Prep Boarders feel welcome during their overnight stay. Her leadership was also highlighted by the Chindits Camp team.
King Alfred
Award Recipient: Rudi (Lower Sixth Form)
Rudi demonstrated remarkable maturity and leadership by volunteering to extend his stay at the Chindit Camp, ensuring the success of the second wave despite a shortage of Lower Sixth NCOs.
Meynell
Award Recipient: Natalia (Fifth Form)
Natalia has consistently given her best in all her endeavours, offering help and support and participating in nearly all inter-house competitions. She is a superb role model and will be greatly missed as she moves on to future studies.
Taylor
Award Recipient: Ellie (Fourth Form)
Ellie has achieved amazing academic results and shown brilliant efforts in house events, exemplifying the values of the Taylor House.
Tuckwell
Award Recipient: Bryan (Third Form)
Bryan was an excellent host to next year’s Tuckwell Third Form on induction day, ensuring they felt welcome and settled, dedicating a lot of his time to their comfort and happiness.
Woodard
Award Recipient: Hugo (Lower Sixth)
Hugo has been instrumental in supporting the Woodard Wheelbarrow, particularly in updating financial spreadsheets, showing his dedication to the house's initiatives.
