Year 6 pupils participated in a world record-breaking event during National Poetry Day 2024, joining schools worldwide in the largest live online poetry lesson. Through their love of language and creativity, they have became part of a historic moment.
After careful verification, the adjudicator has now confirmed that the record has been successfully achieved, making our incredible Year 6 pupils official world record holders!
The event, which took place last term was an opportunity for pupils to engage with poetry on a global scale, celebrating the power of words and the joy of creative expression.
Taking part in this event wasn’t just about setting a record, children explore their love for poetry by thinking creatively, expressing themselves, and engaging with literature in a dynamic way. Through poetry they develop language skills, build confidence, and learn to express their emotions, making it a valuable and memorable experience as well as a historic one!
