King’s Hall pupil Humphrey C-S has just been crowned the Under 11 Independent Association of Prep Schools National Squash Champion.
Humphrey, who plays his squash at King’s College and The Wyvern Club, won the South West Regional Championships back in the autumn and trains with the regional squad.
The Under 11 National Squash Championships saw players competing from all over the country, and the finals took place over three days at The University of Nottingham.
The King’s Hall pupil was the highest scoring player in the qualifying rounds. He did not drop a game in the knockout stages, the last 16, the quarters and semis and won the final 11-2, 11-7.
Organisers at the presentation ceremony, commented on Humphrey’s outstanding performance and ability throughout the competition.
Humphrey is an all round sportsman because in addition to playing squash he plays cricket and tennis for Somerset Under 11s, his is part of the Somerset Development Hockey as well as playing for Taunton Rugby Club’s Under 11s.
