The team travelled to Millfield School for the Independent Association of Prep Schools Regional Qualifier where four pools of four schools battled it out including Hazlegrove, Port Regis and Taunton School.
King’s Hall had a competitive morning before meeting Clifton in the quarter finals and Salisbury Cathedral School in the semi-finals. After winning both games without conceding a goal, King’s played Taunton School in a brilliant and nail-biting match that ended in a narrow 3-2 defeat.
King’s Hall and Taunton have both qualified for the National Finals that will be held at Haileybury School on Friday 4 March.
Ali Halls, the Director of Sport at King’s Hall said: “The team have been training well and I’m delighted with their energy and progress under the leadership of Sports Performance Coach Will Clark. They will be a tough team for any school we come up against.”
He went on to say: “This year is particularly important to the players, as they qualified for the National finals as Under11s. However, the competition was cancelled with two days notice before the first outbreak of Covid in March 2020, so good luck to them all and I hope they enjoy the experience.”
