What is the Pupil Council?
The King's College Prep Pupil Council is a formal group of pupils who have been elected by their peers to represent them and their views. The group is overseen by Pupil Council Coordinator Karen Foster, and regularly meets to discuss fundraising ideas and important school issues.
Fundraising Campaigns
Over the past year, pupils have worked hard on a number of fundraising campaigns, each of which have been highly successful. In September 2018, the Council organised for all Year 6 pupils to wear their finest denim in support of the nationwide Jeans for Genes campaign. Not long after, and proving that actions speak louder than words, the group helped to organise a major fundraising campaign in aid of Bristol Children’s Hospital. Most recently, the whole school community joined forces for two charity park runs in aid of the WESC foundation, a specialist day and residential centre for adults and young people living with visual impairment.
