Squash

Why Play Squash?

With four courts and enviable facilities, squash continues to go from strength to strength at King's. Whether players have 30 minutes or two hours to play, squash will provide them with a burst of energy that is both invigorating and rewarding.

Squash is played all year round, but is most popular in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms. Pupils can choose it as a full-time sporting activity or just play socially once a week. From engagement and development right through to high performance, King's provides the opportunity for all.

The sport is played full -time in games sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, as well as an activity session on Mondays and Thursdays. For higher performance players, the squad train together at set times and there are individual sessions organised throughout the week where specialist coaches help with any specific requirements.

Playing Competitively

King's have a squash team in the Somerset Squash league and play competitively against local clubs, home and away, on Monday evenings from September to March. There are also regular school matches and for the high performance players, King's enters the England Squash National Schools competition each year.

We currently have two county champions as well as players who play at club level. Whether you're a social player looking for a fun game or an ambitious high performance player, we have the facilities for you.
