Dance

A Thriving Performing Arts Scene

King's has always enjoyed huge successes in the performing arts. Our music and drama departments regularly demonstrate the individual talents of our pupils in a variety of settings.

Our yearly shows are fully staged with lighting, costume, music and dance numbers adding that bit of extra sparkle.

A Creative Journey

Following the AQA GCSE curriculum, dance pupils learn to choreograph, perform and appreciate dance as an art form. This holistic engagement with dance informs their development as creative and artistic individuals, and broadens their aesthetic, social and cultural experience.

What Will I Learn?

The courses covers the knowledge and understanding of performance and choreography, as well as the critical appreciation of your own and the work of professionals.
