We are very focused on helping each player be the best they can be, whether that is a top international player; someone who wants to play a good standard of club hockey or someone who just wants to play for fun.
In order to create the right environment, we need the right coaches. Our coaches are passionate about hockey and we match coaches to the squads to get the right balance, plus we offer specialist goalkeeper training. With a variety of coaching experience, our staff have coached nationally and as part of the England Hockey Performance Centres.
There are four senior girls' squads and four senior boys' squads. We then have an A and B team for the U14 and U15 players (A and B boys' and A and B girls' squads).
Professional Coaching
The coaching is progressive, and excellence, when and where appropriate, is pursued.
We coach according to the England Hockey Coaching Philosophy which helps if players wish to progress through the England Hockey Player Pathway.
Individuals are encouraged to seek representative honours in the England Hockey Single System and are thoroughly supported throughout. Tours are undertaken on a regular basis.
Competitions
We have a varied and competitive fixtures programme for all our players, whether they play in the first squad, the fourth squad, A or B squad.
We enter U14, U16 and U18 National Schools competitions for boys and girls (outdoor) and U16 and U18 (indoor), and we run regular holiday camp programmes to which all are very welcome.
