PREP SCHOOL FEES

Standard Fees 2025/26 (per term)

All fees listed in this section include VAT and are post VAT support reduction.


Nursery 1 – £80 per day, £47 per half day (Nursery fees remain exempt from VAT)


Nursery 2 – £76 per day, £45 per half day (Nursery fees remain exempt from VAT)


Reception (4-5 years) – £3,845 day


Year 1 and 2 – £4,035 day


Year 3 and 4 – £4,860 day / £9,205* full boarding (UK-based)


Year 5 and 6 – £6,290 day / £9,730* full boarding (UK-based)


Year 7 and 8 – £8,215 day / £11,895* full boarding (UK-based)


* In addition, a compulsory extra is charged, to remain exempt from VAT, for lunch, daytime snacks and match teas. Details can be found by following the link below.

Flexi Boarding Fees


All fees listed in this section include VAT and are post the VAT support reduction.

Flexi boarding package (per term) – £1,355
Maximum five nights to be taken between Sunday (5.30pm) – Saturday (9am). Nights to be specified before the start of each term. Package includes laundry, breakfast and supper, but not lunch or activities.

International Boarding fees


Year 3 and Year 4 – £10,820* per term

Registration Fee


£240 The Registration Fee is non-refundable

The following fees are exclusive of VAT:

Acceptance Deposit


£1,100** The Acceptance Deposit will be set against the pupil’s final school bill

Additional Deposit


£10,205** for non-UK based pupils

* Includes school tuition (with the exception of any extra individual tuition), most text books, breakfast and evening meal, laundry (but not dry cleaning) and a range of co-curricular activities (some co-curricular activities/trips will be charged separately). Fee excludes compulsory extras.
** VAT applicable when used against vatable fees and extras

King’s College Prep is now registered to participate in the 30 hours Working Families Entitlement funding for eligible two-year-olds from September 2025. If you are eligible you can apply for funding the term after your child turns 2 years old.

Three and four year olds are entitled to receive the Early Years Entitlement the term after their third birthday (the maximum that can be claimed is 30 hours per week).

The termly fee is payable in advance of or before the first day of each term, unless otherwise agreed by separate contractual agreement. If no arrangement is in place and fees are not paid before the first day of term, they will be liable to a surcharge of 1.5% at the end of each month that the account remains unpaid. Any remission may be withdrawn if payment is not received on this basis.

As a result of changes to legislation, we are unable to accept payment of fees by credit or debit card.

Where a family has more than one child at either school at the same time, the younger children will receive a discount of 5% for the second, 10% for the third and 15% for the fourth and any more children. This will be subsumed within any other award.
